Crystals are gorgeous minerals believed to harness powers that can boost confidence and accelerate the healing process. While there is skepticism about whether they actually work, it is possible to see positive results. Let’s explore the purpose of crystals and how they can work for you.

The Power of Crystals

While there’s no scientific evidence that crystals can cure anything, they provide myriad benefits in practices like mindfulness, yoga and meditation due to the placebo effect. Similar to the power of positive thinking, putting faith and hope into something like a stone can provide results — mindset is everything. People have used them for centuries for healing and protection.

Some people believe the energy that flows throughout your body can interact with crystals to align and balance your chakras. They act as a conduit where you can transfer energy into them and them from you, creating a unique bond. Although they have distinct properties that they’ve gained over time, you can personalize a one to work for you.

How To Use Crystals

You can use crystals for various purposes, from stress relief to promoting clarity. Various types of minerals have different meanings and elements that interact with your body’s chemistry and have unique effects. For example, jasper is said to absorb negative energy, whereas rhodochrosite has emotional healing properties and generates self-love.

Emeralds are believed to promote passion and represent unconditional love. You can wear stones in jewelry or on your clothes to carry their energy. You can hold crystals while you meditate to boost your mantra or intention and keep you focused on your practice. You can also use crystals as decor on your desk or in your home to cleanse your space and promote good energy throughout the area.

Choosing Your Crystals

Some people believe that crystals choose their owners. To allow a stone to choose you, you can run your hand over a display case or hold crystals to see what energy you feel from them. This process can be a fun experiment, even if you don’t believe in the power of minerals. However, if you’re looking for one with preordained purposes, here are some for you to consider.

  • Clear quartz is an excellent and versatile choice for beginners looking to boost their intentions during meditation.
  • Tiger’s eye can help you feel grounded and can be beneficial while practicing mindfulness or yoga.
  • Many believe that yellow topaz provides healing energy and clarity.
  • Black tourmaline is a powerful stone that blocks negative vibrations and promotes positive ones.
  • Amethysts are said to help with digestion.

Whatever mineral you decide to add to your arsenal, ensure that you cleanse it from its journey to you and set your intention. You can charge your crystal by placing it in the sunlight, under a full moon or in various other ways.

The Purpose of Crystals

Crystals can channel and produce energy that can promote powerful and positive vibrations to boost your healing practices. Using crystals can be a form of self-care and a simple way to boost your self-love. While stones can aid you in healing and meditation, they can’t replace modern medicine. You can’t rely solely on crystals when you need healing, but they can help you find mental and emotional peace.
