Nestled in the rugged beauty of western Colorado, Do Good Ranch (DGR) is more than just a retreat center; it’s a sanctuary for healing, transformation and personal growth. Founded by former NHL defenseman Kyle Quincey, the ranch was born out of a deeply personal journey of resilience and self-discovery. After spending 14 years in professional hockey, Quincey faced the physical and mental toll of a high-intensity career, suffering multiple concussions and ultimately traumatic brain injuries. In his search for healing, he discovered the powerful regenerative effects of psychedelics, which are known to help repair neural pathways and support cognitive function.

Quincey’s path to founding DGR was also shaped by an even greater personal challenge — his son, Axl, was diagnosed with cancer at just 11 months old. Navigating the emotional and physical demands of his son’s illness deepened Quincey’s understanding of resilience, healing and the importance of a strong support system, or what he calls “the locker room.” This profound experience reinforced his commitment to creating a space where others facing life-altering challenges — whether from trauma, illness, addiction or personal transition — could find healing and a renewed sense of self.

At its core, DGR shares its foundational pillars of education, access and community; and thus, is a place for individuals to reset, reconnect in nature and realign with their life’s purpose. Through a variety of immersive retreats, customized wellness programs and curated experiences, the ranch provides a supportive environment where guests can explore self-improvement, emotional resilience and overall well-being. Whether it’s through guided meditation or nature-based mindfulness practices, every aspect of the ranch is designed to facilitate deep personal transformation.

The foundation of DGR is built on the belief that healing happens best in community. Here, visitors can engage in meaningful conversations, participate in structured programs tailored to their unique needs and gain insight from experienced facilitators. The ranch serves as a refuge for high-performing CEOs, first responders, veterans and anyone navigating major life transitions or a strong desire for self-improvement. The ranch can provide guests with the tools and support to heal and move forward with clarity and purpose.

For Quincey, DGR represents more than just a career pivot — it is his mission. His passion for fostering healing in nature is woven into every aspect of the ranch, from its unique geodesic domes and farm-to-table dining to its sauna and cold plunge, hyperbaric chamber, infinite hiking opportunities and movement, yoga and mindfulness practices, all set on 280 acres of rich ranch land. By sharing his own experiences and the wisdoms of other elders, he offers guests an opportunity to embark on their own transformative journeys.

If you’re looking for a place to recharge, refocus or simply explore a different way of being, DGR is calling. Whether you are interested in hosting a retreat, renting the ranch, joining an upcoming program or joining the ever-growing community, the space offers something truly special.
