A Soul Tree is one that penetrates its roots into the earth for a grounded and deeper knowing of truth. It entwines its roots with all the others to both add strength and support the collective. The Soul Tree draws nutrients from the Earth to heal, then expands out into its greatest potential and, ultimately, reaches upward in graceful inspiration.
At Soul Tree Studio, visitors can partake in a wide variety of soulful yoga classes, ranging from yin, restorative, vinyasa, beginner’s yoga, gentle yoga, nidra, trauma-informed yoga and their very own Soul Flow. The studio also offers a 200-hour Trauma Informed Yoga Teacher Training.
“As people, we are each a mini universe made up of the elements: earth, water, fire, air and space. The earth is our structure/foundation, the water keeps us flowing, the fire is our passion, which ultimately becomes the air of pure love in the heart,” believes owner Sarah Woods.
“The word Empowered means to make someone stronger and more confident in claiming who they truly are. Our inner work leads us towards letting down any barriers we have around love. When you find self-love, you are able to give and receive love of others and love that you are part of something greater; you will be empowered. Yoga teaches us to love and to trust ourselves. In turn, our love of yoga is what empowers us to have the courage to open our hearts and follow our passions, like Soul Tree,” she continues.
Soul Tree teaches the inner traditions of yoga with a trauma informed lens, making yoga accessible to everyone and every body. Though some classes will be challenging, Soul Tree is not an exercise center. The staff teach and offer yoga to unite mind, body, heart, soul and spirit.
Students will experience a welcoming and safe space to explore personal practice with a community of loving support.
