Do you hate liners in shorts, especially brief liners? I normally do. In fact, I usually have to cut them our or get rid of them all together. The Stratus from Mack Weldon has changed my mind. This is one of the most comfortable pairs of gym shorts I have ever worn. They almost feel like I am not wearing shorts when I have them on. The shorts offer a lot of freedom while still providing support.
The Stratus is designed to keep you cool, dry and fresh during your workout. Their 37.5® technology helps regulate temperature which elements sweat and fights odor. The liner has silver woven in to fight smell and they leave room for optional underwear if needed.
Pros
The way these shorts are cut you don’t feel any rough edges anywhere. The elastic waist combined with the drawcord will keep your shorts up even with the heaviest phone. I really like the small details like the branded ends of the drawcord and the reflectivity built into it as well. The reflective side detail keeps you seen when you are running at night.
I put these to the test in yoga, running, hiking and at the gym. Not once was I bothered by them. I really enjoyed the weight and the feel during activities. The pocket zippers didn’t bother me during yoga and are nice to keep money and such inside.
Cons
If you need shorts past your knees or a three-inch inseam the Stratus is not for you. They only come in a seven-inch inseam. They also only have two color options available at the moment — gray and black. The brief liner can be adjustment to those who aren’t used to it.
