Every candle undergoes meticulous pouring into reusable, handcrafted pottery vessels made from talented, local Colorado artisans. Jill discovered she was allergic to mainstream candles due to reactions like sneezing, watery eyes and headaches caused by fragrance chemicals. Surprisingly, even soy candles triggered these responses. Uncovering an FDA loophole in fragrance trade secrets revealed potentially harmful chemicals used by candle companies. Realizing soy wax was only part of the issue, Jill founded Aspen Clean Candle to offer healthier options with cleaner ingredients. Her engineering background instilled meticulousness in selecting raw materials. Jill’s expertise spans aromatherapy and combustion chemistry, and she delights in educating others about candle ingredients.

Additionally, Jill excitedly notes that she finds lots of joy in her candle making classes, pouring both wax and wine. She also takes pride in partnering with local companies to create custom candles for their clients in custom vessels. This includes the Osmia Skincare candle, the Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey candle and the Snowmass Tourism candle. Working with Jill to capture a memory, chapter or time in your life is incredibly therapeutic and inspiring.
