Join Jennifer Grubba, founder of MN YOGA + Life Magazine and Blue Lotus Yoga Retreats, and Nicole Christianson founder of Live True Yoga as they co-host a yoga retreat at Tulum’s original wellness resort, Amansala. Amansala is Sanskrit named after the peaceful crystal clear waters of Tulum, and is one of Tulum’s most iconic, eco-chic boutique hotels. We will also give back to the local community in Tulum by engaging in a karma project together. You want to see more good in the world? Create it!

Jennifer is the Founder and Editor in Chief of MN YOGA + Life® Magazine and hosts yoga retreats as the Founder of Blue Lotus Yoga Retreats. She is passionate about making yoga and wellness more accessible to others, and travel for growth. Jennifer has led retreats in Mexico, Sedona, Iceland, and Napa. You can find her writings in MN YOGA + Life Magazine and at www.jennifergrubba.com. Jennifer is a proud mother of two, practices as a School Psychologist and holds graduate degrees in psychology and education. Jennifer is a 200 hour registered yoga teacher, and teaches yoga in corporate settings, studios, and events such as the Minnesota State Fair, and the Minneapolis Yoga Conference. Her mission as the founder of MN YOGA + Life® is to curate an artfully crafted publication that unites the Minnesota yoga community, gives locals a voice, and serves as resource to help readers live their best life. Jennifer was born and raised in the Minneapolis (Minnesota) area but has also lived on the East Coast where she attended graduate school.

Nicole is the owner and founder of Live True Yoga. She was introduced to Yoga in 2007 when fighting an eating disorder and over time, fell in love with yoga, learning the beauty of imperfection and love for herself. Yoga was and still is an instrumental piece in her recovery. Practicing for over 12 years and teaching for the last 6 years, Nicole has guided over 2500 yoga classes. She completed the YogaWorks 200 hour program under the training of Alexandria Crow. Live True Yoga is a dream come true for this Finance grad from Arizona State University. She humbly watches this labor of love develop into an amazing community for spreading the joy of yoga.

Amansala can arrange transportation for you from the Cancun International airport with a reliable and comfortable service that they have been using for many years. It takes about 90 mins to reach them from the airport. You will be contacted by Amansala directly about 15 days prior to departure to schedule ground transport.

February 19 we will begin with a snack and check-in around 3 or 4 and dinner around 7:00pm. February 24 will conclude with a light breakfast, a morning practice, followed brunch and check out at noon.

A detailed Itinerary will be published closer to the retreat and is subject to change. In general, you can expect a morning and evening yoga and meditation practice. We will offer a variety of classes including vinyasa, yin, restorative, and barre/yoga fusion. All levels welcome. We strongly abide by the mantra, “It’s a yoga practice, not a yoga perfect.”
