Rachel Pastor says the goal of Break Free Festival is to bring the joy of health and fitness to people’s lives. In 2018, Pastor founded the event with fitness, music, community and fun at the forefront of her mind. After battling with addiction and finding healing through fitness, Pastor made it her mission to spread the joy of movement. Today, Break Free is one of Fort Collins’ most beloved festivals.

“It’s all about people having an experience from the minute they walk through the door,” Pastor says. “Every single sponsor is set up to give people an actual experience of what their business has to offer so not only is there a lot happening on the stage there is a lot happening off the stage.”

Flow through a poetic yoga class with Tyrone Beverly, dance in the streets with The Fitness Marshall and end the night with a glow in the dark dance experience with DJ KapSlap. The festival will be filled with fitness competitions and delicious brews, in addition to body paint and glitter galore! Plus, all proceeds fund WomenGive of United Way.
“Everyone on the board of the festival is a mother and we love how WomenGive of United Way supports women,” Pastor shares. “They are very involved and want to connect with the community. “
