There’s just something about Sundays. And yoga. And mimosas.

Not to mention it’s all happening in a few days in Boulder at Adventure Film.

“It’s a great way to kickstart the day — with an outdoor yoga class among other people who love the outdoors,” shares Boulder-based yogi and professional climber Olivia Hsu. “The class will be a vinyasa class, all levels. Zeal Optics will be sponsoring the event and mimosas with be served at their store after the class!”

There will also be a free drawing to win a pair of plant-based shades of your choice from Zeal Optics.

The class will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 7, on the Boulder County Courthouse Lawn. It’s free, but registration is required.

“The Adventure Film Festival embodies mindfulness,” explains Hsu. “Mindfulness about the environment and mindfulness for the amazing filmmakers and athletes who make up what this film festival is all about. It takes a certain level of mindfulness to find your true north, and these films inspire individuals to go seek those things. Yoga cultivates mindfulness and has a deep resonation with this. Plus what better way to start off the day than with yoga and a bunch of wonderful, inspiring films!”

Adventure Film Festival takes Boulder beyond the screen for a transformative weekend of adventure, creation, and exploration with a rock-star lineup of athletes, artists and professional guides. Many of the activities are free, but all require registration. More information on the weekend and reservations can be found at www.adventurefilm.org.

Krista Davis founded the school, drawing inspiration from many years of traveling, living and teaching in conscious communities and yoga centers around the world. To this day, the school continues to thrive as a family-owned and operated small business.
The benefits of meditation are alluring. However, there is no instant, one-size-fits-all solution — like most things in life. In fact, researchers recommend practicing meditation daily for at least 10 to 20 minutes to reap rewards. Most importantly, always remember: the only unsuccessful meditation is the meditation not taken.
