At the Vail Public Library, community members should expect excellent service, no matter what.
“Our vision is to serve and enrich our community. Our mission is to connect with our community through services and resources. Our core values are: service, welcoming, respect, wellbeing, environmental stewardship, and education,” says Lori Barnes, director of library services.
Vail Public Library values the community — not only within the Town of Vail, but also throughout Eagle County and into the wider Colorado Public Library community. People of all ages and all walks of life should expect to enter the library and be met with friendly, engaged staff who are ready to assist.
The library is open Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., for browsing, checkout and computer use. In addition, services extend beyond the building through our website, electronic newsletter, media coverage via radio and social media efforts on Facebook and Instagram. They also offer a variety of programming to meet the needs of all of our customers.
