As a practitioner of 35 years, I know how empowering and rejuvenating retreats are for our souls.
Whether we travel an hour or take an international flight to retreat, time away from our daily routines, habits, relationships and persona has tremendous impact on a calmer, more aware experience of life.
On retreat, we attune body, mind and soul through philosophy, asana, pranayama and meditation. On retreat, we settle into deep inner states where our defensive ways soften, our hearts open and nervous systems regulate.
As we regulate, our ability to self-reflect deepens and consequently we begin to live at a more conscious place of decision making. We call this the ledge of freedom. Living on the ledge of freedom is everything. This is where we co-create with the universe and manifest our gifts, talents and capacities.
It’s here on the ledge of freedom we can shift detrimental patterns for more positive, life- enhancing words and actions. Ultimately, we learn to live consciously making life affirming decisions that pivot our destiny for highest results.
